Scalar field configurations supported by charged compact reflecting stars in the curved spacetime [CL]

http://arxiv.org/abs/1801.02495

We study the system of static scalar fields coupled to charged compact reflecting stars in the curved spacetime through both analytical and numerical methods. We provide bottom and upper bounds for the radius of the scalar hairy compact star. We also obtain numerical scalar hairy star solutions satisfying boundary conditions and find that the radius of the hairy star is discrete in a range similar to known results in the reflecting shell or the star charge and mass can be neglected. We further examine effects of the charge and mass of the star on the largest radius. Moreover, we also study another model of enclosing the compact star in a box. In contrast, we find that the radius of the hairy star in a box is continuous in the range, which is very different from cases without box boundaries.
