An overview of the impact of the first three years of LHC operation on two of the most important open questions in astroparticle physics is presented. Measurements in proton-proton collisions at the energy frontier that provide valuable information on the identity of the highest-energy particles in the cosmos as well as new constraints on the nature of dark matter, are summarized.
