The IceCube collaboration has recently announced the discovery of ultra-high energy neutrino events. In this work, we have probed whether this data can constrain the CP violating phase $\delta_{CP}$. For this, we have analyzed the IceCube data in the form of flux ratios. We find that the fit to $\delta_{CP}$ depends on the assumptions made on the production mechanism of neutrinos. Therefore, we can also use the data to constrain the astrophysical processes through which these neutrinos are produced.
